Laranja, the Brazilian crossover solo project of pianist/keyboardist/composer Yoko Yamazaki, releases a new song "A U%u0301ltima Fortaleza" on the house label Spirit Soul.
It features the original track performed live by Laranja and a remix by Michele Chiavarini.

Laranja = Yoko Yamazaki respects both the modernity and the tradition of samba included in the MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) and mixes them with her own various musical styles.

The song "A U%u0301ltima Fortaleza" is sung in Portuguese to celebrate the song of life which rises above difficulty, with a majestic melody that evokes nostalgia (%u201Csaudade%u201D in Portuguese) and a jazzy sound.
The original is co-produced by Akihiro Horikoshi, formerly of Escalators.

The featured vocalists are ALICE, a singer and model, and ENJU, also a singer, model and actress. The voices which have double identities of Brazil and Japan overlap each other in a supple manner.

Michele Chiavarini, who produced the Remix version, is a Track-Maker/Bassist/Keyboardist who has participated in hundreds of recordings by world-famous artists such as Christina Aguilera, Robbie Williams, Diana Ross, and Ray Charles. With participation of his talented musicians, this brilliant Brazilian House Remix was born, with his skillful arrangements and sense of %u201Cjazz%u201D.
