Glasgow Underground is, at its core, a DJs label. With most nightclubs closed and artists turning to livestreaming, we felt DJs would want a different style of music. We concentrated on standout grooves rather than the big pumped-up covers we had done before lockdown. We also went back to our roots and explored all of what we love about Deep House. Now that parties are back on the horizon, we wanted to examine what tunes we would drop when the dancefloor is absolutely heaving. Ray Charles' "Hit The Road Jack" is a firm favourite of the bootleg makers (shout out to Eats Everything for his absolute belter), and Sam Dexter suggested I give it a go. And so here is our take on this much re-loved and sampled classic.
