Retrograde orbits against the grain, in resistance to forward currents, forming kinetic interactions that translate into vigorous sound. From where we’re at, the view is majestic. Outcome and Philipp Straub’s work of art starts off with a moody Original Mix, rife with sublime harmonies. Atop gracious drumming, celestial strings and crunchy synth riffs suture eloquent melodies on fetching bass lines that linger. Alex Medina begets the funky middle child of the pack. Sporting a retro groove with a bit of 16- bit breakbeat playfulness, this defiant remix arouses. And contrary to winding down near the end, it retrogrades, spooling moist synth undulations that will surely set dance floors a frenzy. Auggië wraps up the three-tracker with his penetrating rendition. Juxtaposing industrial grit to ethereal resonance and riveting drums, the Milan-based DJ/ Producer executes bright strings on a simple, earthy delight of a groove to piece it all together, with poise.
