Welcome to Mercury, closest planet to the sun and the second release from Ostrich Recordings.

Mercury is a baron planet, too hot and hostile for any form of life to exist, and these themes are mirrored in the aesthetic of the title track. An old-skool breakbeat, heavy sub-bass, and relentless Acid-line bring the heat, while sparse, bleepy tones give an empty, alien vibe.

We Are Dust is a Bleep Techno track with a distinctly dystopian feel. Punchy drums, dark pads and hooky bleeps play out over heavy bass lines, while strange and unsettling noises fill the backdrop. A modern take on a sound that originated in the industrial roots of the north of England in the late 80's, and a nod to the pioneering early releases on Warp Records.
