Roog has been a staple of the Dutch House music scene since the late 90s. Over the years, he has released on some landmark labels with Todd Terry's Freeze, Kerri Chandler's Mad House and Roger Sanchez' Undr The Radr standing out. Recently his house music journey has continued on imprints like Simma Black, Cube Recordings and Blacksoul. Curtis Mayfield's original version of "Move On Up" is a dance music sample staple. It has been sampled & covered by everyone from Kanye West to Troy Parrish & M People (with a wicked MK dub). Usually, though, it's the signature horns that are the first thing into the sampler. Roog has given his version a different twist, creating a driving organ-fuelled backing for the iconic topline melody.
