“The Still City” is the debut release from Still Life: a collaboration between long time West Friend’s Ned Pegler (Medlar) and Henry Morris (The Soft). Blending downtempo grooves with sun-drenched, pool-side melodies, The Still City is awash with a rich ambience that evokes that first heat of summer and a yearning for brighter days.

Formed from 2019 jam sessions, with the concept fleshed out and finished remotely during lockdown. This is the first long player to be released on the West Friends label, launched from a series of Rye Wax crew parties in 2016-7.
