A new year and we are straight in with more funk fuelled goodness from Bombstrikes in the form of this new three track release from Parisian duo Prosper & Stabfinger. When it comes to describing their sound it can be tricky to pin them down as they always do things their own way and tend to throw in a few musical curveballs. One thing that is always on show is the high level of musicianship and the assembled tracks here are no exception. First up, title track 'Body In Flexion' has a more electronic edge but still retains that all important funk feel and an acid hook that combines with broken beats and guitar licks to create something special. 'Boogie to the Disco' hits straight to the point with tight grooves and disco keys driven along by Everyman's vocal chants, serious fun! Rounding things off, 'Bounce with me' slows the tempo a little allowing the live bass to pull the track along with guitar licks and staccato synths. A great start to the year from Prosper & Stabfinger.
