By (very) popular demand... ‘Spoiler’ was not only featured in dramatic scenes for both ‘The Leftovers’ and ‘Bates Motel’, featured on the latest Porsche Cayenne campaigns, it soundtracked the huge, iconic trailer for ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ game in 2018 becoming the games unofficial anthem and garnered a hardcore cult following amongst gamers.
‘Spoiler’ is a genre defying/defining track which was the turning point for Hypers production and artistic direction. Its cinematic, dark, brooding (almost trailer like) intro gives way to its arrogant, heavy bass riff, laden with guitar distortion and attitude which swaggers towards what sounds like the end of the world (the breakdown). Finally it crescendos into raging double time breaks.
It was one of a kind and has now become one of the most copied tracks (yes, ripped off) of the last two years. Now it’s been vocalled by new, and heavily Radio 1 supported, UK band, Wargasm to form ‘Spoiler (Recoil)’.(female model with serious attitude, and a raging son of a Sex Pistol) This will be unleashed in January with a plethora of amazing (!!!) remixes, covers and reinterpretations!!
