Penned by the ID Records’ Steve “Silk” Hurley, E-Smoove, and Chantay Savage, “When Love Calls” features the powerful vocals of Sharon Osbourne, known professionally as Shay Jones. More than just a vocalist, Shay is a poet, writer, clothing designer, Renaissance Artist, and a distant cousin of the legendary Jeffrey Osbourne. Her biggest influences are Joni Mitchell, Tina Turner, James Brown, and Bootsy, who like Shay, was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.

Produced by Steve “Silk” Hurley, of ID Records, Silk Entertainment, and now S&S Records, the original boasts a live horn section, bass, and guitar parts, while the live drums have meshed with Hurley’s signature House Drums.

In addition to the original, this package contains remixed versions by the GRAMMY® winning Maurice Joshua, and the GRAMMY® nominated E-Smoove and Steve “Silk” Hurley. The celebrated ID remixing team delivers as usual, with each providing their own individual interpretations of the song. History would show that while the entire project was very well received, the E-Smoove mix would stand out the most. It was a huge hit at the legendary Hacienda in Manchester, England, among countless others.

S&S Records, Inc. is proud to present this digitally remastered package of the original 12” vinyl release, which was previously unavailable digitally.
