Gelios aka Russian artist Dmitri Arkhipov, debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the superb, Solar Wave. In 2004, Dmitri started his musical journey with his Select Project, where he focussed on psytrance. After many releases on various labels and seven full albums, he decided to move away for the trancey side to look at new sounds and new inspirations. In 2019, he started his latest project, Gelios, where his goal is to look into the world of techno and progressive house, already he has a raft of top tracks under this pseudonym and his work is championed by many top jocks around the world. Great to have him on board.

Solar Wave intros with a solid, punchy kick drum and spritely percussion arrangement. Undulating basses provide energy to the rhythm as cosmic elements come through. Bright, plucky notes combine with a mesmerizing pad, creating a unique melodic scene that melts into the groove effortlessly. Hypnotic arpeggios cast an astral vibe over the track while rising pads add an airy layer. Deep and evocative and full of energy, this one is not to be missed.

Souvenir takes on a chunkier vibe, leading with punchy kick drums and a bubbling bassline, wrapped up is darker atmosphere. Deeper rhythms shift the energy to that darker realm as striking notes add colourful textures to the sound. Rich, melodies cut through, contrasting beautifully, taking us to another dimension. A distinctly classic progressive style shines through, creating that hypnotic trait throughout. A definite contender for the peak time set that will set the floors on fire.
