Andrew Duke digs deep into the Nice & Nasty vaults and selects his 5 tunes to celebrate 25 years of Nice & Nasty.

Based in Halifax NS Canada, Andrew Duke has been with Nice & Nasty as an artist, remixer and friend since 2009 and been instrumental in releasing some great music with fabulous collaborators, such as Claude Young, K Hand and Terrence Dixon, with Terrence also joining the ranks of Nice & Nasty around the same time.

Andrew Duke has been composing, producing, remixing, and performing music since 1987. His music is consistently referred to by the media and listeners alike as continuously presenting a unique and distinct sound but at its core he has always been true to the original sounds of Detroit, Chicago and New York.

Working for Nice & Nasty and its sister label, Dublin Xpress, whilst prolifically DJing, Broadcasting (Andrew Duke In The Mix), producing for labels including Batti Batti, Colour & Pitch, and Ibiza Boys, plus designing sounds for mags such as Computer Music and MusicTech, and companies like FXpansion, Duke has also been writing about music since 1981 (published in Computer Music, Magic Feet (UK), Vice, XLR8R, Urb, Grooves, Igloo, EI, Streetsound (US), GCFC’s Spotting Notes, Exclaim, The Coast (Canada), and others, and somehow Andrew remains a well known and much loved DJ/Musician on the techno scene.

Being selected by Andrew is a quality mark in itself and no doubt kudos to the original artists and remixers so enjoy this EP and check out Andrew's many other guises and platforms.
