"Mhlaka Mama is taken from IsiZulu - my home language - which loosely translates to "My Mothers Day" or "My Mothers Birthday." I named this song to commemorate my late mothers birthday which is on the 22nd of August.
I started this project while visiting Ladysmith (Her Hometown) as such a lot of emotion is present on the song. A part of me is sad she never got the chance to dance to one of my songs because she passed on before I realised my passion for music. I sincerely hope fans of house music and I will dance to this record on her behalf." - Afro Swanky
