Returning for another release on Woodwork, this time producing as Canada High, is Paul Anthony known sometimes as Ki, who released Soft Exchange in November 2019, and who also remixed Paul Blackford's 'Together' under his Wilhaeven alias in August 2020.

Opening with the title track 'No Consequence', Canada High channels recognizable deep house tropes from its classic organ, wistful vocal melodies and delicious flute lines to achieve an expressive and authentic vibe. This is an uplifting party track for the floor as much as it is a drifting and dreamy groove for romantic reflection.

'My Love' steps gracefully into funkier territory, employing unusual chord motion through staple piano stabs and leveraging a disco style filter bass and muted guitar for that 'Parisian' touch. The dynamics evolve constantly and the momentum never lets up. Fresh top lines in the drums create satisfying motion, while vocal hoots and hollers interject and keep the whole thing feeling very much alive.

'Splitting the Integers' dials things back to a beachside or fireside feel, lathered in drippy synth stabs, lush envelopes of dramatic strings, and a brilliant bluesy piano solo trading off with a cascading flute counterpart.

This beautiful, deep collection will take you back to the golden age of deep house, with a spirit that brings that classic silky sound back to life, as relevant now as ever.
