Nervous Brooklyn Sessions Unleashes The Next Batch of Freshness With New EP
New York based Nervous Records is releasing the 2nd EP from its 2019 Brooklyn Studio Sessions. Hearkening back to the pre-pandemic time period that seems ages ago, perhaps the music made then can serve as a positive beacon for a more positive future.
Leading off the EP is Cologne based Ben Delay. With uplifting, bright pianos and vocals to match, this one will have us dreaming of summer, Aperol Spritz in hand, with its apropos title In Love. On Trutopia%u2019s In The City the British Brothers take on a slice of big city life and its role in budding relationships. Simple in nature, LA based Ekstra Bonus has us swooning with her sultry vocals. Closing the EP is the mysterious Count Jackula. We might not know who he is but worry not, this is a certified house weapon with Koffee injecting her distinctly American (Newark, New Jersey to be exact!) flavor reminding us that in polarizing times, the dancefloor is Unified Territory and all are welcome, just don%u2019t bring that 2-step dance move in here.
As we mentioned in the first EP of these sessions, bringing new blood into the city and encouraging fresh collaborations between artists able to tap into the creative lifeblood of this vast, living, breathing megatropolis, Nervous Records%u2019 dominance looks set to carry on well into its third decade, and looks forward to New York%u2019s nightlife resurgence.
