After 11 years, Chicago house label Real Estate Records is pleased to releases its 39th EP, ‘Take Me Back’ by Tim Baker’s alias,” Fun Police”. As an artist, a label-owner, fashion designer and club DJ, he is one of the many who has helped shape the sound of modern electronic music, with an inventive career that has spanned 15+ years. Hailing from the Detroit area, Tim Baker was shaped and influenced by the Detroit techno pioneers and Chicago house legends. This carries into his modern day works like his new song ‘Take Me Back’. Listen closely and you can hear the gradual riding percussion and hand claps with the melodic keyboards slowly creeping into a Lil’ Louis sounding track. A warped KMS style analog bass takes control of the track sending it to the outer limits of deep space. Baker’s moniker ‘Fun Police’ stirs up of the tech-house sound of emotional and timeless dance music.
