Kaputt.wav Vol II - Reserva/Voz Terra

KPTS001 | 2020-10-10
Born in quarantine when nature sounded much louder than usual, VozTerra invited people to listen to nature and to participate in its third chapter 'Sounds from your window'. People in Colombia and around the world took the opportunity of the isolation to listen and record nature. The material, together with soundscapes previously recorded in the Van der Hammen Reserve and in the La Conejera Wetland, in Bogota, were given to DJs from the electronic music scene to create musical pieces. These productions are now part of the Reserva / VozTerra album, released in Kaputt.wav.

In alliance with the Ghetto Project, Kaputt and the Museum for the United Nations - UN Live, this is the compilation of unconventional actions that musicians and people from all over the world took to express their interest in caring for nature. We hope these songs inspire many more people to take action to care for biodiversity and mitigate climate change.

The Van der Hammen Reserve and the La Conejera Wetland are protected nature areas in Bogota, Colombia. For more than 20 years these areas have been preserved thanks to the work of citizens. It is vital to extend the voice of the community so that it consolidates itself as the largest urban nature reserve in Latin America. A percentage of the resources generated by the songs included in the album will go to the Fundacion Corporacion Ambiental Cedros, which works for the protection and conservation of the Van der Hammen Reserve.
