Exposed is the first single from Ken Christensen's forthcoming Underground People LP. Originally from Washington D.C., DJ and producer Ken Christensen has been immersed in the music world for the last 20 years, and has always been intensely passionate about creating house music. In 2008 he moved to Chicago — the birthplace of house — and found inspiration in the lives and music of legendary pioneers such as Farley, Ron Hardy, Frankie Knuckles, Derrick Carter, Chez Damier, Larry Levan and many others. And when an afternoon conversation with singer Alexander East turned into a lengthy storytelling session and in-depth discussion about the Chicago's storied Warehouse — a place where house music legends were born — the two musicians were inspired to co-write “Exposed.” Christensen and East connected instantly, forging a strong bond via their shared personal life hardships. With their collaboration on “Exposed,” the pair wanted to channel the average worker who toils from 9-to-5, enduring stifling routine, rules and regulations to put food on the table. Knowing that nothing can expose and unburden your soul quite like dancing after a long workweek, Christensen and East set their sights on creating a track that would capture that euphoric feeling of freedom and release. “Exposed” pays homage to the dedicated heads who hit the dance floor every Friday and Saturday night to lose themselves in music and take off their corporate masks.

Audio Jazz as well as the legendary 95 North of Strictly Rhythm, 4th Floor and Henry Street provide a soulful selection of varieties.
