Until the beginning of 2020, the Versatile recording studio was located in the same building as Red Light Records. After closing hours, the record store would often serve as a meeting point for like-minded people where they could hang out and catch up on all kinds of recent developments and especially listen to and philosophize about music.
When it became known that the lease was discontinued and that this dynamic was about to end, it was decided by friends Gilbert, Satoshi and Abel that it might be fun to dive into the studio together. They were curious to see what they would come up with and whether they could give a fitting homage to this inspiring place.
It culminated in a musical expression filled with experimentation and spontaneity. 6 pieces were recorded over the course of two evenings varying from contemplative instrumental pieces to exuberant dance numbers with self-recorded vocals.
