Camio Recordings are very proud to present a fresh and exciting talent to the house scene. Born Lebogang Magogodi but better known as EmpressLebo in the world of music . EmpressLebo's love for music stemmed from jazz, her "first love" as she puts it.
She's however worked on countless music genres. A true testament to the talent that she is. As fate would have it, she later got drawn to house music which lead to her to feature on this her first outing as an artist on the "Ndinawe EP" produced by Jonny Montana for Camio Recordings. The collaboration went hand in hand and resulted in an instant love affair with House music for Lebo.
This release offers two songs and spans two different languages from English to Zulu. The first of which is:
"Eternally Bound"
The original mix is aimed more towards the dancefloor, with grand chords and a driving bassline. Lebo does the track justice and turned out an impressive vocal. She possesses an exquisite tone to her voice which is full of raw emotion. The alternative "Deeper Mix" lightens the mood with lush rhodes, flute and a overall organic feel.
"Sabela Uthando"
This is a smooth afro percussive soul production, beautiful synths, and grand piano with another strong vocal performance by Lebo.
