S&S Records, Inc. (and S&S Chicago, Inc.) was established by 4-time GRAMMY® nominated producer and House Music pioneer Steve "Silk" Hurley and global DJ/Producer Shannon "DJ Skip" Syas. Silk and Skip merged Hurley's worldwide commercial success and Syas' strong global following to form S&S Records. S&S Records has accumulated a catalog of new and classic hit records from global artists all over.

As the son of blues artist Bobby Rush, a GRAMMY® Winning, Blues Hall Of Fame inductee, the late Donell Rush grew up in musical surroundings at an early age. Donell’s vocal abilities were a perfect fit for Steve Silk Hurley’s ID Records, which was well known as a home for stellar vocalists such as Chantay Savage, Sharon Pass and Tommye Miller. Not only did he leave a mark with his solo vocal performances, he also teamed up with Chantay Savage as the group Body 2 Body for the soulful tune, “Let’s Get Intimate,” and was the go-to vocal arranger and background vocalist on many of ID’s productions.

Written by Donell, Chantay Savage, Steve Silk Hurley and Manfred Mohr (Manny Mo) of the production crew, 20 Fingers, “Symphony” was the first solo effort for Rush on ID Records. Symphony reached #7 on the Billboard Dance Charts and became a classic house staple.

With an original urban mix produced by Steve Silk Hurley, and featuring platinum artist Chantay Savage on background vocals, the production was a perfect fit for the usual House Music treatment from ID team of E-Smoove, Maurice Joshua and Steve Silk Hurley.

Now S&S Records, Inc. is proud to present this digitally remastered package of the original 12” vinyl release, which was previously unavailable digitally.
