Past The Palms is the joint effort of Los Angeles natives Seb Hall & MoodHay who deliver two sun-drenched mid-tempo house jams that take us on a journey. The melodic waves of emotion on this semi-biographical EP reflect two very talented friends who would rather pull all-nighters in the studio then hit the club. With the right blend of Hall's crisp drum programming, MoodHay crooning over layers of synths and some acid-lite bass lines they achieve a balance many production duos strive for. They are both two of LA's best kept secrets, flying just below the radar where they continue to crank out the hits.
From the Lips & Rhythm Family we have a straight-up club remix of Hydrate from boss Chilean producer Noon Do out of Santiago. We also welcome San Francisco based artist Matt Perkins to the fold who slaps us upside the head with an acid rework of Sunwave. To close out the EP our Parisian brother Yasin Hazim returns with percussion-laced, chugged-down version of Hydrate, tinged with just the right amount of mystery.
