On January 31st of this year, the House Music community lost acclaimed South African producer Bongani Khumalo aka Real Kue Soul. At the time, Dubwise had just signed a new two-track EP with Bongani for Summer release. In memoriam, we present these two Real Kue Soul originals with remixes. “The Burning Desire” is resplendent with his signature riffs, garage organ, funky bassline, floating pads, soulful vocal refrains, and top-notch drumwork. The Dennis Spinn Remix takes a more linear approach with it’s building acidic synths, driving bassline, and its grooving rubber rhythms. The second original, “No More”, again utilizes deep Chicago House vibes coupled alongside skittering percussive sensibilities. The Deepologic Remix takes a dark psychedelic space approach with it’s shifting chords and forbidding sonics.
