DJ T-1000

The Detroit-born, Berlin-based multi-talent Alan Oldham is back again under his legendary DJ T-1000 guise with the long-awaited follow-up to last year's smash hit "Pure Sonik Youth" EP, "Body Signal." Oldham has been hammering these tracks in global DJ gigs before the lockdown and in quarantine podcasts and you've seen/heard the tracks in varying states of progress on Instagram (instagram.com/alan_oldham_)!

The lead track, "Body Signal" is a funky, heavy acid blip workout with open hats and tons of swing! Heard most prominently on T-1000's livestream for HOR (viewable on YouTube).

Next is the dark, semi-industrial workout, "Force Multiples." Minimal beats fade into a moody string breakdown. An experiment with different kinds of drum sounds than the usual 909.

"New Acceleration" is next. An insistent rave alarm gets your attention and loops through this track, held together by its heavy bottom and driving velocity, living up to its name.

"Don't Let Drugs Screw Up Your Life" is another acid workout, and the answer track to FJAKK's hit "Drugs," which has been a favorite in DJ T-1000's sets over the past couple of years.

The minimal bonus track "Phase Drama" closes it out. Oldham's take on the old-school '05-'06 mnml sound, but more funky and less boring, haha.

DJ T-1000 "Body Signal" EP was produced in Berlin by Alan D. Oldham and mastered by Neptune Mastering, Berlin. All tracks are (P) & (C) 2020 Track Machine/Generator Music BMI, all rights reserved. Distributed by EPM. Cover art by Alan D. Oldham/Oldham Industries.
