Woodwork Recordings is pleased to present this debut album by a remarkable artist with a deep range of electronic compositions. Inspired by the past but avoiding unnecessary tributes, SetSquare songs capture the spirit of 70's Krautrock and early synth music. The full work plays out very much like a classic live show by Tangerine Dream or Cluster... but with modern flourishes.

'Although I've been making electronic music for quite a while, in 2014 got myself my first real analog synthesizer and a drum machine. From there an obsession developed. And as I collected more and more gear... more and more ideas seemed to take shape. Fast forward to 2020, with the support of Woodwork, I'm set to release my debut album 'TD10xx'. Ten pieces compiled from old and new material; spanning the realm of Krautrock inspired jams, ambient noise, synth soundtrack experiments, and a few driving IDM flavoured tunes.'

'Station A/B: two four on the floor bangers derived from the same session; where two halves of the same whole worked better apart, than together.

UnResolved: started out as an ambient guitar jam, but quickly morphed into a slow plodding slice right out of a Sci-Fi movie soundtrack. Fat bass hits and twinkly melodies tie it all together.

SparkleDrive: a Krautrock style bounce, brings together random, pretty melodies and riffy synth plucks.

EarlyMorningGone: started long ago as an ambient guitar exercise, then added the modern melodic structure and arpeggios to bring in to life.

WinterSun: again, another one that goes back to the early part of the century, for a dive into pure ambient guitar and synth noise.

Reversi: a glitchy ambient mess, held together by a spiky delayed sequence. Modern take on the 70's Tangerine Dream model.

MultiMode: Dub inspired drums and ambient basses form the basis of this track that also dates back to the early 2000's. I remember playing around on a Gem home organ and rhythm machine. Most of the melodies came much later, with the final part being flushed out on a Yamaha CSY-2.

Cyrillic Set: glitched out synth hits and a dark, heavy 8th note arp anchor this ode to 80's horror soundtracks

DeltaMinusOne: a Brian Eno inspired jam that floats and bubbles along with easy flow and resolve.'
