Citizens Of Vice welcome back the mighty disco dons 'Paper Street Soul' who return to the label with a killer 4 tracker.
This release sees the band follow on from their brilliantly named and killer EP 'Berrocas & Trackie Bottoms' which is still doing the business on the ace 'Sprechen' label.
Cosmic Evangelist is the EP and it features three new tracks from the band plus a killer remix from the always excellent 'Ourra'.
As ever with Paper Street Soul their music is a fusion of nostalgic influences delivered with a modern edge. 'Idle Promises' starts the EP and is a fresh disco jolly that would equally be at home as closing music to an 80's blockbuster movie.
'Rain' follows and comes out the blocks with instant grooves and guitar hooks before the glorious vocals kicking in, big 'Earworm Alert' on the chorus.
Up next is 'Indigo Days' and this is a track that makes you yearn for live music and to see 'Paper Street Soul' play this live is one wish that will happen further down the line.
The always suberb Ourra finishes things off with a fab remix of 'Rain' not veering far from the original he softens the track and lets the vocal reach out of the mix.
There's a reason people are talking so highly of 'Paper Street Soul' and here they further prove what that is.. They are very bloody good.
