Bastions of quality house, Large Music have joined forces with Belfast based producer Ric McClelland AKA Scope for the release of his outstanding debut LP.
Seven Reasons features ten original tracks covering a broad spectrum and sounds and influences and featuring guest collaborations with producer and vocalist friends. The LP opens with the lush sounds of Follow Me featuring Terry Grant, a deep and soulful house cut that is a perfect opener for this stunning album. Tracks such as I Don't Know and The Drop display a distinct disco influence, coming on with a warm musicality that shows Scope's abilities as a writer, whilst songs like Hold us Back and the recent single Seven Reasons are perfect slices of old school inflected house music. Laidback grooves such as In Doubt of Love and the breakbeat fueled workout of Wont be Long bring a certain diversity to the mix, giving the album real depth. Seven Reasons displays a breadth of sounds that make for an engaging and genuinely interesting listening experience.
