To say we've been "itching" to get the phenomenal new album by Double Geography out to you would be a rather monumental understatement. It really is incredible and has been on rotation here for quite some time now. The 8-track album will be getting full release in July.

To tide things over in the meantime, and give you a little teaser/taster of what's to come, here is a pre-release single featuring two exclusive tracks not to be found on the LP - Elephant's Ear and Viper's Bowstring.

Double Geography is Duncan Thornley, one half of Weird Weather who have released EPs on Emotional Response, Going Good and their own Whip+Lash imprint, exploring sometimes hypnotic, sometimes abstract experimental tech-tronica.

Double Geography, however, takes us deep into the undergrowth, into the world of plants. With tracks named after a variety of flora the music could loosely be described as laidback ‘balearic' . However, where much of that "genre" has spawned so much insipid, mediocre coffee table ‘lounge music', Double Geography has retained that crucial element of psychedelia.
