Half Decade sees Disturb celebrate 5 years of existence in style, with a string of carefully selected tracks which encapsulate the spirit of this Portuguese promoter-turned-label - on point, direct, hard and wired, bridging the steely demands of contemporary club techno with sensible amounts of groove infused beats. From its inception to its current fame, Disturb managed to attract celebrated acts like Ben Sims, Len Faki, o[Phase], Sam Paganini, SNTS and plenty more, establishing itself as one of the most impressive havens for quality techno in the Iberian Peninsula. But Disturb was always so much more than firebrand theatrics, matching its stellar headliners with a slew of rising artists, providing an early preview to some of today's most talked about newcomers to the techno business. It's therefore no surprise that, in keeping with its roots, it manages to strike, here, in this VA, an harmonious balance between seasoned producers and some of the hottest new talents in the scene. A sure, but, above all, a genuine way to celebrate its DNA and to extend its run of triumphs for years to come.
