A mainstay within electronic music for over 20 years, with releases on the likes of CR2 Records, OVUM, Rejected and his own notable Dis-Funktional Recordings, and remixes of Todd Terry through to Jamiroquai, DJ and producer Steve Mac remains ever-ingrained within the evolving house music landscape. Having already featured on the label under his Rhythm Masters alias in late-2017, Mac now pairs up with ORIGINS RCRDS head honcho Butler - as he continues his recent slew of material on home turf - with the pair delivering two deeper house cuts in the form of their two-track EP, ‘From The Vault.

Title track ‘From The Vault’ introduces a deep, wandering journey as punchy percussion licks go to work amongst low-slung, off-kilter melodies, and rich chords, whilst ‘No Need To Hide’ ups the tempo and welcomes skipping hats, jacking drums and further resonant chord work alongside an infectious lead vocal to close out proceedings in style.
