Making his debut this month is Michigan based DJ and producer, Dantiez, who teams up with Italian artist, Paul Cart to deliver the ‘Get Down’ EP. Son of Techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson and singer- songwriter Ann Saunderson with direct roots to Detroit’s musical heritage, Dantiez has learnt the tools of the trade from his father and fellow Techno innovators; Derrick May and Juan Atkins, whilst drawing further inspiration from the likes of Marco Carola, Seth Troxler, Richie Hawtin and Dubfire. Joining forces with Paul Cart who has also mastered his production prowess, the duo have combined releases on some of the biggest labels in the industry including Relief, KMS, Armada, Food Music and Toolroom. ‘Get Down’ draws on Dantiez’s signature sound with an old-school Detroit House sound, intricate drum grooves, hooky vocals and a playful b-line. ‘Keeping Me Up’ sees Dantiez go solo for a slightly moodier production featuring atmospheric vocal licks, resounding synths, low-slung drums, rolling percussion and an infectious bassline.
