U're Guay, Vol. 9

Imanol

U're Guay Records
URGR009 | 2020-04-30
For the tenth release of this new label, an energetic and introspective EP came out from label boss Imanol.

'Request contest' take samples from the obvious old skull hip hop classic and turn it on a super energetic and disco house track infected on '90s acid sounds like synths and pad with a modern and kicky foundation driven by a groovy and constant bass line.

Silly statement: New Beat bears the name of the song that the last radio contestant asks on the A side, maybe it comes from outer space. It's a fresh sound on the artist catalogue that fit very well with past productions and opens a new path where this label will travel along. The organic electronic bassline sounds RAW and has a clear disco influence loaded with many notes and an endless phrasing. A tricky but friendly digi pipe lead is accompanied by pleasant bells and a catchy (maybe alien) vocal combine with a simple extra earthy and pleasant pad.
