Here at FV, we have eclectic tastes that go far beyond the booming subs and snappy electronic drums of club music. Many of the homies in the crew started with instruments and bands before exploring production and DJing. While we love club music dearly, limiting our musical output to dance floor functionality would be limiting, reductive and unrepresentative of who we are as artists. We concluded that the best way to present our non-club creations would be through starting a new sub-label: Fantastic Voyage Tapes! Benny Bridges steps up to the plate for the first official Fantastic Tapes release.

"Forbidden Dream" a collaboration with long time friend and bandmate, Josh Taylor is the first single off Benny's new EP: "The Grand Escape." You can hear a synthesis of motown-inspired rhythm section arrangements juxtaposed with psych rock-leaning harmony and sound design. You can hear Ben's personality on every side of this music, the playing, the singing, the songwriting, the production and mixing. Josh Taylor adds his laid back artistic voice to the mix, rounding out an emotive duet between two great friends. It's powerfully moving when great artists fully express themselves and on "Forbidden Dream," that magic is palpable.
