[FEP007] Sugar Disco Baby EP

After a successful first contribution on the label, The Velvet Stripes join forces back again with this 'Sugar Disco Baby EP' delivering a four tracker discharge consisting in a worldwide range of influences and multicultural variety of sounds combined with a disco touch to it. Kicking things off 'Asian Girl' lands all the way across the Pacific Ocean as a taiwanese psych-disco anthem filled with trumpets, sexy female vocals and fresh guitar riffs taking us back to late 70's Asian times. As for the second course 'Cheeky Tere' arrives as a caribbean influenced gem sampling a classic vocal chop from 1994 joined by disco strings and a leading powerful bassline. Right next to it 'Anybody Out There?' shows up as Nigerian funky anthem with a melancholic guitar riff, majestic drops and an exotic female singer. As for the last cut 'Fruit Cocktail' takes us back to Cameroon 1978 with this afro-funk ballad filled with percussions, a guitar solo making it perfect for any occasion and ready to warm up any dancefloor.
