ATL035 sees Atlant bring you one of our biggest releases to date, as we welcome Ontario musical royalty in the form of Toronto's electronic visionary Fairmont (Jake Fairley) to our ever expanding family.

Fairmont will be a familiar name to anyone serious about their electronic music. A true pioneer Fairmont has been producing tracks and remixes for the likes of Kompakt, Bedrock, James Holden's Border Community, My Favorite Robot, Last Night On Earth, Cocoon, Correspondant and Sapiens - who re- released his timeless twisted classic ‘Gazebo'. More recently Fairmont graces Manpower's NowNowNow, Solomun's Diynamic and BOg's Atlant.

Strap yourself in tight, as anthemic title track ‘Agony And Exstacy' delivers a shuddering seismic bombardment of the senses. This deep dark gem has been a mainstay in John Digweed's rekordbox, showcasing Fairmont's talent for getting the maximum out of each impeccably engineered element, to produce a driving dynamic dance-floor destroyer of epic proportions.

Maintaining the intensity Fairmont's ‘Deceive Me' is a swirling disorientating dance-floor cut of the very highest order. Marrying electronic wizardry with an infectious fx ridden vocal ‘Deceive Me' tests the listener's aural perception with a range of resonating sonic sequences. Both originals are a testament to how Jake strives artistically to challenge himself, always experimenting and pushing his sound forward. We are very proud to bring these originals to you.

To remix ‘Deceive Me' we called on our Venezuelan friends Fur Coat, who have steadily forged a name for themselves as formidable producers, headline DJs and label owners (Ødd:ity). Using Fairmont's masterful core elements Sergio and Israel add their unique vibe to create a sensual hypnotic South American groove, complemented with epic breakdowns and haunting melodies that add dramatic tension for one of their best remixes to date.
