DIFFERENT FORMS OF HANDCRAFTED ELECTRONIC MUSIC
Fertil Discos keeps on introducing new ways of approaching the coplas once compiled by Leda Valladares. This time we present Lola Bhajan and Enanomalhecho, who have been working with this traditional songs for a while. Lola's vocal work seems to seek for a limitless expressivity, rejecting any form of education or kindness: her voice hits and runs, transmitting in a raw, honest way what she came to say. Enanomalhecho's music has the same intention and energy: to dismiss neutral and familiar sounds, aiming for rough, irregular sounds, which are somehow more and better related to the world we live in.
For this edition, the original track is joined by remixes of two of our most beloved producers, Barda and El Remolon, who have taken it into very different directions, not only re-mixing, but also adding new elements in order to strengthen the original track.
LOLA BHAJAN and ENANOMALHECHO
Are an electronic music duo, which combines traditional songs from the argentinean Andes and other regions -such as flamenco, mantras, bagualas, etc.- with digital rythms. Lola Bhajan (trans-gender multidimensional artist) and Enanomalhecho (visual and sound artist) began working together in 2016, and from that moment on the project simply evolved, naturaly and spontaneously. In 2019 they released their first album (available on all digital platforms) , and they are currently working on new formats and rhythms, to bring ancient singing back to life.
