With a short gap in releases we are back with a boom and a new artist to the label who goes under the name of 'Bootzy'. This is his first release for the label and what an EP this is, Boogie personified!
The EP is made u from two tracks and a remix from Enyon himself, 'City Heat' in both original and instrumental form is a prime example of retro boogie with it's electronic broken drums, synthetic bass and lush electronic piano accompanied by that dirty funk synth. The vocals on this take you back to the 80's and are a nod to some of our most prolific party cities. 'Electrify Me' picks up the pace a little but still features that old school Juno bass and some cool guitar stabs and synth lines, this for us is the perfect B-side!
On remix duties we have label head honcho Enyon on form with his take of 'City Heat', opting to just use the vocals he lays down a rich synth / chord led deeper disco groove that is simply sensational with its trademark tricks and production techniques, we love the string lines in this and the arpeggiated bass and how he approaches the vocal! This release is sure to keep you warm for the rest of those winter months.
