Pietro is back with some tasteful and original grooves. It is extremely refreshing for Ocha to be able to bring diasporic ideas to life in a modern electronic music way.

Pietro's AFROCOLOMBIA provides just the right amount of deep meets dance-floor. Heavy drums and unique synth syncopation and sound design make for less than predictable arrangement ideas. We hear a lot of the roller coaster arrangements these days with the Afro Tech sound and we do love them...but it is nice to get something this creative flowing through our catalog early in the year.


The digital B side, THE FALLING RAIN, is wonderfully melodic and optimistic. Wonderful key-scapes fill the ambience with fresh uses of overtones and poly-rhythms. Pietro's automation is used to paint an almost Bob Ross like landscape of sound. Who doesn't love Bob Ross? A fantastic deep Afro House style track.
