GLENN MORRISON - TANGERINE DREAM (ORIGINAL MIX / PETAR DUNDOV REMIX)
As we begin the 2020 year with our Fall From Grace label catalogue, we are proud and excited to release label boss Glenn Morrison's latest record 'Tangerine Dream', replete with the B Side being a remix from internationally respected electronic musician Petar Dundov (Cocoon, Get Physical etc.). Bubbling emotive melodies and hopelessly optimistic minor chords splash 'Tangerine Dream' onto the map here, with incredible DJ and Radio Tastemaker support already (Sasha, Luciano, Loco Dice, Carl Craig, Sven Vath, and Danny Tenaglia to name but a few).
We have WHEN WE DIP premiering the Petar Dundov remix on February 14th 2020, as well as several other Spotify, Apple Music & Youtube premieres for Glenn's Original Mix. We also commissioned critically renowned Danish painter Thue to do an original oil on canvas painting to commemorate this wonderful release and the start to a new decade - we hope to satisfy your musical palette as each release pushes to market over the coming year and beyond.
Techno is music that precedes movement. It is fundamental dance music, and whilst it is solid enough to carry emotions through the dance floor, it is also importantly abstract enough to be a template for further creative explorations. Glenn Morrison & Petar Dundov's breathtaking composition and production catalogue embody this ethos, serving the inherent function of making your body pulse spontaneously while also challenging your brain with its complex melodies and slow-burning, hypnotic progressions.
Although perhaps the word 'techno' is a tad opaque, and doesn't give enough detail about the stylistic headspace, it's probably best suited for those who have an affinity for melodic based hypnotic rave records - emotion encapsulated into minimalism - spacious sounds that take up a lot of space whilst at the core being simplistic enough to grab you in. Nothing overly cluttered or brash, just an attention to detail that makes this release so wonderful, and such a bold statement to start the year off.
