Detic's fourth edition is brought to you by Blackdub aka Dan Black. Under his new alias, he debuts with this solid 3 track EP showing what he's really capable of. The lead track 'Pure Steel' really does have some punch especially in the low-end frequencies where the heavy layered bassline really does pleasure the eardrums, which gels with the spacey chords throughout the track. Definitely one for the peak time slots! The lead track is also remixed by hot property Mehlor who needs no introduction with his production capabilities this remix has an infectious groove and a lot going on but everything is crafted to have a purpose which definitely comes through with amazing sophisticated snappy sounds that cause you to vibe to it! The B side 'Broke Reflections' is parallel to the vibe occurring in the lead track but Blackdub incorporates a vocal sample alongside a teasing long breakdown to blend in with his new devised signature sound.
