New release coming soon on Cosmic Wave Records from a close friend of the label, Mersel. Based in Paris and focusing on modular synthesizers, he has been producing great work these past years balancing between techno and deep techno.

For this EP, he was inspired by his last trip to Tokyo, and more specifically Shibuya ward. He describes it as a city of contrast, balanced between the speed of crowded streets like crossing avenue and more peaceful places. The EP starts with 'Donqi Preps', a slow and organic tribal beat layered by moving atmospheres. Then comes 'Chy', more deep techno approach where the synths lead the track from beginning to end with a great evolution and wide spatialization. The third track 'Clock Signal' shows the rawer and more techno side of Mersel's project, this track refers to the speedy and crowded side of Tokyo city. The last track 'Donqi' carries on this dark and cycling vibe driven by a strong kick and groovy rhythms.

With this fifth release from Mersel, the label show its independence and unique style exploring the thin path between techno and atmospheric music.
