Label-Head Smilla comes up with his first solo EP on Taktschleife. After a few releases as S.M.O.D. together with Oliver Deutschmann, it’s time to deliver some output of his own lab. These works are an in-depth view into his musical mind and points out eminently the level of experiences in the studio. The „Earthly EP“ an accurately selected four-tracker of matured techno with an impeccable sound and a high functionality.

Of course all these four tunes closing a circle and belong together like kindred spirits. As the title name reveals, these tracks are not the way of obtrusive, much more it’s about an earthed vibe, sneaking into the mind on repetitive hypnotizing pattern and sequences. While „Biplug“ and „Onset“ having basically the drive on snare’ish rhythms and looped synths, the „Black View“ has a more filthy intention. On subtle but floor-orientated drive, „Earthly“ closes this EP.
