Hush Hush Records is honored to welcome Providence, RI-based composer/producer Daniel Fine aka still life to the family to help present his sophomore full-length album and label debut, 'for a long time time i went to bed early.'

The stories and settings woven into ‘for a long time i went to bed early’ are bound to feel familiar. They are loss and love and city streets, and a yearning for these things to be something more than just events and places and feelings.

These dots on life's map are spun into vibrant, cinematic detail through still life's use of textures, samples, and found sounds, placed gently on an always shifting bed of instrumentals. This potent mixture of grounded and effervescent sounds allows the songs of ‘for a long time i went to bed early’ to feel like memories of the stories they tell, ever flitting between stark realism and phantom realities.
