Paoletto Castro and Mario Gentilii met at the beginning of the 90's in the Roman nightlife circuit and it is between long and pleasant digressions on samplers, synthesizers and drum machines, that their artistic association was born. They begin to experiment, merging together their respective paths and musical tastes in a new and innovative project represented with various releases since 1995. In addition to being a DJ, Paolo Castro works with Radio Rai 2, where he currently directs various programs. Coming to the present day, the two friends decide to take advantage of the different sound experiences acquired in the new concept called "Purple Rome", where they play various instruments and deal with programming, and leave the voice to the excellent Cristiana Polegri.
Besides containing a clear reference to their beloved city, the project is characterized by a visionary style, oriented to the dancefloor, but inspired transversally to the most representative music of the last 50 years.



Paoletto Castro e Mario Gentilii si conoscono all’inizio degli anni 90 nel circuito della nightlife romana ed è tra lunghe e piacevoli divagazioni su campionatori, sintetizzatori e drum machines, che nasce il loro sodalizio artistico. Iniziano così a sperimentare, fondendo insieme i rispettivi percorsi e gusti musicali in un nuovo ed innovativo progetto rappresentato con varie releases dal 1995. Oltre a essere dj, Paolo Castro lavora con Radio Rai 2, dove attualmente cura la regia di vari programmi. Arrivando ai giorni nostri I due amici decidono quindi di mettere a frutto le diverse esperienze sonore acquisite nel nuovo concept chiamato “Purple Rome”, dove suonano vari strumenti e si occupano del programming, e lasciano la voce all'ottima Cristiana Polegri.
Oltre a contenere un chiaro riferimento alla propria amata città, il progetto è caratterizzato da uno stile visionario, orientato al dancefloor, ma ispirato trasversalmente alla musica più rappresentativa degli ultimi 50 anni.
