Portuguese artist LUS aka Paulo Coutinho, makes a welcome return to Piston Recordings with the superb three track EP, titled Glamourdaze. It’s been a while since he was last here, back at the start of 2018 he gave us the equally superb The Most Famous Classic EP which saw great support. It was in the late 80’s, when Paulo heard some acid house, that his path was chosen. From that moment on he dedicated himself to house music. Since 2016 he has been churning out serious beats on various labels, being known for his deep house grooves, LUS is already a name synonymous with quality and we've no doubt this will continue for a long time.

Glamourdaze serves up a solid, deep and groovy house joint. Tight, punchy beats stack up alongside bright, open hats and shuffling percussions for a steady rhythmic flow. The bassline plucks out a rugged groove as the filters are opened and closed on some nice and funky keys. Throughout the track, a cool vintage infomercial style spoken vocal instructs on how to look good, which is something this track will allow you to do on the dancefloor.
Dreams is a superb, upbeat groover, filled with smooth pianos and soulful vibes. Rhythmic percussions lead the way as a nice chunky kick takes point. Cool vocal snippets add character, complimenting the liquified keys that generate a funkiness to the groove. A swaying bassline shores up the low-end beautifully making this an absolute must have for the party crowd to get down to.

Rehearsal On opens with a warming chord and smooth percussion arrangement. Punchy kicks soon come through and the track starts its journey deep into house music. The bassline sings a dancey tune as soulful vocals join in. A wonderfully rich and mesmerizing piece with that infectious bassline, this one is an absolute must have, no doubt.
