Originally from Chicago, these childhood friends, Devlin Gormally and Otis Calvin, have combined to make the now Seattle based multi-instrumentalists Freekazoidz.

Making their debut on Reptile Dysfunction we are delighted to present the truly diverse and unique sounds that ‘Beat 420’ presents generating a vibe that incorporates elements from Disco, Classic House and Chicago House all under one roof.

First up is the crowd pleasing and EP named ‘Beat 420’ which delivers a chunky beat with catchy vocal fills and lovely Disco-esque filtered melody that is sure to lift asses off seats. Next brings the Chicago inspired ‘Keeky’ offering up a low-slung driving bassline that offsets the melodic synth stabs that really have a throwback feel about them.

‘Around the Clock’ delivers a Jazz inspired House track that rolls effectively across a variety of vocal chops and phrases that puncture the meaty beat. ‘Deep Abyss’ offers a change of pace with this energetic filtered dancefloor roller. Expertly utilising strings and vocal elements to really heighten the tension of the track.
