S&S Records, Inc. (and S&S Chicago, Inc.) was established by 4-time GRAMMY® nominated producer and House Music pioneer Steve "Silk" Hurley and global DJ/Producer Shannon "DJ Skip" Syas. Silk and Skip merged Hurley's worldwide commercial success and Syas' strong global following to form S&S Records. S&S Records has accumulated a catalog of new and classic hit records from global artists all over.

S&S is now presenting a collection of digitally remastered original versions of classic tunes, hand-picked from Hurley’s Silk Entertainment label. The full collection will include the releases of all 4 Silk labels, including ID Records, DJ World Records, and of course, Silk Entertainment Records, which has releases spanning all 4 decades.

Best of Silk Entertainment, Vol. 1 is the first in a series of compilations featuring music released under the second Silk Entertainment imprint, including 5 of Steve “Silk” Hurley’s GRAMMY® nominated hit productions: “The Word Is Love” featuring Sharon Pass, “He Loves Me 2” featuring CeCe Peniston, and the groundbreaking and “Higher,” a Gospel House Anthem featuring Vernessa Mitchell along with the award-winning Ricky Dillard and his choir, New G. Also featured in Volume 1 are early tunes from Greg Gibbs, Kyle “Small Smith feat. Viola Sykes, M.Doc feat. Sevynn, DJ Kelly G., plus the 2000 disco version of “Jack Your Body,” the Paul Johnson remix of the classic “He Loves Me 2”, and the Silk house remix of the 2 Live Crew’s “Stop Playin.’”

You are bound to find many hidden treasures on this first of several remastered collections under the S&S Chicago umbrella!
