Following a string of wounders on the likes of Moan, Deeperfect, Suruba X and Little Helpers, Olivier Giacomotto and David Lecocq’s OHMME unit piledrives into another on-point label: Nicolas Massayeff & Oxia’s imprint DIVERSIONS….

Total late night, roughhouse rolling tech, they both feed off each other’s love of gritty, grainy, grooves with four slabs of deep dark danger: ‘Better’ takes the lead and sets the scene with a savage display of tension and release through builds upon builds and a pay-off that will drive your floor wild; ‘Flee’, meanwhile, shakes with a sassy break in the background and has a deviant penchant for dipping into lewd bass territories.

Deeper again we hit ‘Recreate’, a warehouse-walloping house joint that’s reminiscent of the legendary Classic imprint: nothing but lean, rhythmic and timeless bumping house. Finally ‘Us’ closes the deal. The hypnotiser of the set, this one is all about that cyclical percussion that’s constantly moving and never quite repeating itself, the real action kicks off when everything strips back midway and a mind-altering build up takes us in a whole other direction…. A signature that’s not only synonymous with Ohmme but Diversions, too.
