Gabriel Del feat. De`Lacy - HIDEAWAY / Written by: William Hedge & Joshua Alexander Milan / Published by: Warner Chappell Music / Schubert Music Publishing OOD.Gabriel Del made a new piece of music with a contemporary soundtrack to the classic Hideaway De'Lacy song, typical of his sound in the tech-house genre with very massive sub-bass and distinctive percussion as well as melodic and harmonic chords that syncopate. In this song, Gabriel Del uses only the vocal of the legendary song - "Hideaway". The original "Hideaway" is a 1995 song by American house-music group De'Lacy. It features vocals by lead vocalist Rainie Lassiter. The song is written by Kevin Hedge and Josh Milan, and produced by Blaze. The Deep Dish remix peaked at number 1 in Italy[2] and number 8 in Israel. In the UK, "Hideaway" reached number 9[3] and on the Eurochart Hot 100, it reached number 12. The song has been remixed and re-released several times. A remixed version, called "Hideaway 1998", which featured a mix by Nu‑Birth,[4] peaked at number 21 in 1998. The song was released a third time in 2006 and reached number 82 in the Netherlands. Music critic Tom Ewing said that "Hideaway" was probably his "favourite single of 1995."[6]
Mixmag ranked it 2nd in their list of 'The Greatest Songs of 1995', whilst Face ranked it 21st.[7] In 1996, Mixmag ranked the song at number 52 in their list of 'The 100 Best Dance Singles of All Time', and they also nominated the song for their 'Greatest Dance Track of All Time' title in 2012.[8]The Guardian featured the song on their 'A history of modern music: Dance' in 2011.[9]minimal deep tech houseDistributed by Label Engine - www.label-engine.com
