Since the release of his debut works in 201 Ryota OPP has remained at the nexus of the Japanese house and disco club scene.

He previously released his debut album 'Pale Lux' with R&S Records sister label Meda Fury that blended eastern mysticism, jazz spirituality, and cosmic disco with classic 4:4 rhythms.

'Esoterica' is a joint release between Tastee T Production (Tokyo, Japan) and Meda Fury (London, England) and is released on cassette and digital formats. Ryota offers his rich musical expression across 'Esoterica' and channels influences from classic electronic compositions and Balaeric classics.

The albums concept and theme combines historical movements of early club music and old primitive music. Inspired by Eastern European art but also reaching within various roots music from Asia, Africa and South America.
The artist's personal nostalgia and travel memories are embedded throughout, expressing the emotional richness that everyday dance music is often devoid of.
