Making his debut on Libero this October is Solid Grooves resident and Distance Music frontman, Bassel Darwish. He has built up a solid reputation for high-quality releases on some of the industry's top labels over the last few years, so we are delighted to add him to our release catalogue. 'This Is What We Do' features an original single from Bassel, along with remixes from frontmen Mike Morrisey & Luke welsh and Francesco Squillante.

The Original Mix comes in hot with uptempo energy and swaying rhythm. Bright drums and a huge sub-bass coast along in a wave-like fashion with crisp percussion and hats piercing their way through the main beef of the track. Vocal-driven breakdowns steal your attention with a captivating hook and subtle undertones before punching you back into the beat.

Label bosses Mike Morrisey and Luke Welsh follow up with their spin on the track. Pumping more zip and groove into the original concept with longer buildups and atmospheric, energetic drops. A low-slung, driving bassline paired with uptempo, rolling percussion make it a perfect peak-time driver. About as good of an example of the Libero Sound as you'll get from the label chieftains.

Squaring things off, Francesco Squillante applies a gritty tone to his mix. A heavy, in your face bassline carries the track and is supplemented by quirky, offbeat samples as well as some additional creative vocal work. A solid display of 'same but different' at play here; the sign of a very intelligent, experienced producer.
